SAN DIEGO -- A 39-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Monday on Interstate 805 near Sorrento Valley, authorities said. The crash occurred around 8:58 p.m. on Interstate 805 southbound, located south of Interstate 5, Salvador Castro with the California Highway Patrol said in a news release Tuesday.The motorcyclist, of Oceanside, was stopped in traffic lanes on a black Harley Davidson motorcycle when he was struck by a red Honda Crosstour, according to authorities. The crash caused the rider to be thrown from the motorcycle. Another vehicle also hit the victim and left the scene, per CHP.
